Layla Benitez

Layla Benitez is the daughter of John Benitez, also known as Jellybean, who has produced and remixed artists like Madonna, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, and the Pointer Sisters. She may have been in DJ booths since she was barely old enough to walk, but her DJing and production show that she is an artist who keeps changing and growing with each gig and experience. Her August 2021 Boiler Room set has an 80s synth-influenced sound that she calls “indie dance meets dark disco.” It’s a bright bridge between her home in Miami and her roots in New York.

She spends a lot of time in the studio, where she works as a producer on both a melodic techno sound and a laid-back, heavy, deep groove that fits into the same soundscape. It’s not a mistake. While traveling the world and living at Space Miami, Layla has been on the cutting edge of both DJing and production every week.

In the past few years, her work has been steadily on the rise. Layla was named a 2022 Future Star by DJ Mag. She has played to huge crowds at Coachella EXIT, Afterlife, Circoloco EDC, The Warehouse Project, Tomorrowland, Mayan Warrior, and important sites like DC-10, Red Rocks, Warung, and more.

Diplo, CamelPhat, Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Damian Lazarus, Adam Port, Fideles, and Liva K. all gave their support.

MotherEarth

Jules Brand’s MotherEarth takes you on a trip that connects your life to the vastness of everything around you and that connects you to everything else.

One of MotherEarth’s most powerful ideas is that music is a way to show complete freedom. Pure energy that comes from a source.

Motherearth gives his fans a place they can call their own, which is freeing and fulfilling. In the last few months of 2023 and early 2024, MotherEarth will put out music on great new labels started by well-known artists and work with them.

MotherEarth has more than a dozen melodic techno tracks ready to be released. They were all made over the last year and are based on ten years of experience creating music.

CamelPhat, Korolova, Kevin de Vries, Joris Voorn, Agents Of Time, and Rebūke all gave great assistance.

I’m really excited to release my new collab ‘Usion’ together with Layla Benitez on Tomorrowland Music. ‘Usion’ is an auditory journey through the realms of illusion. With a powerful melodic drop that ignites the senses. The break melody sounds a bit like a classical piano piece, tying everything together nicely. I hope it resonates with you! – MotherEarth

The two musicians from Liverpool have had some success with their edit of Grum’s “Shout,” which led to the song’s official release on Anjunabeats.

They have also recently remixed Camelphat & Ali Love’s “Compute.” Danny Howard, Pete Tong, and Sarah Story have all supported the up-and-coming pair on Radio 1, so the future looks bright for them.

The Swedish House Mafia, Solomun, Dom Dolla, MEDUZA, CamelPhat, Above & Beyond, Solardo, Sonny Fodera, Goom Gum, Danny Howard, Pete Tong, Tiësto, Vintage Culture, Jaguar, and Cristoph have all given their support.

We just like to get in the studio and see what works. If it feels natural and right then we will pursue the idea and finish it off. With ‘Raided’ we wanted to tip our hats to the nostalgic rave sound and I think we’ve achieved it with this record. We wanted to create something with a nostalgic feel and high energy that will sound great in any environment whether that be a club or maybe a festival setting. – Tigerblind

‘Gravity’ is my follow-up to my first track with Linney, ‘Line In the Sand’. After so much love from the fans on that track, we knew we had to go back into the studio and work on something totally new. I made ‘Gravity’ and instantly knew that Linney had to be a part of the record. Her voice is so angelic and mixing that vibe with the harsher synths within the melodic techno sound created a very special space. We are so excited to hear what everyone thinks! – KILLSCRIPT
