Tagavaka returns with 2-part ‘U Know Me’ EP

Tagavaka is returning with a new extended play (EP), which will be released on the new label Light Loses Symmetry. The ‘U Know Me‘ EP is a combination of unconventional beats, ambient textures, and driving rhythms. It consists of two tracks that display the artist’s distinctive combination of complicated rhythms and ethereal soundscapes.

The U Know Me EP is a departure from the prior material that Tagavaka has released, exploring new terrain in terms of both the musical style and the production techniques used. The extended play offers a side of the artist’s creative vision that is deeper and more introspective, while still preserving the contagious enthusiasm that has gained Tagavaka a devoted fanbase.

The hypnotic and throbbing track “U Know Me” is the lead single from the EP, and it builds to a powerful crescendo of soaring synths and pounding percussion. The accompanying graphics, which were produced by macro artist Daniel Shinaman, do an excellent job of capturing both the track’s power and its beauty.

On April 14th, the U Know Me EP will be made accessible for streaming on all of the most popular sites.

The artist behind U Know Me: Tagavaka

Scotland, United Kingdom is the birthplace of the music and art initiative known as Tagavaka. To tagavaka oneself is to wander out in quest of love, excitement, or a satisfying conclusion. Tagavaka is meant to embody the concept of searching for or looking for something, and the music that accompanies it is meant to be heard as an integral part of that trip.

After independently releasing their debut extended play (EP) titled “Tagavaka” in the year 2020, the group has subsequently garnered the attention of dance music heavyweights Anjunadeep, who have signed six tracks all at once. Tagavaka published their debut extended play (EP) titled “Extrapolate” in July 2021. This EP grabbed the eye of producers such as Eli & Fur, Lane 8, and Alan Fitzpatrick, who had previously included the band’s work in their flagship compilation series at the beginning of 2021. Since then, Tagavaka has gained premiere appearances supporting Max Cooper and performing at the one-of-a-kind Anjunadeep Explorations festival as a result of future releases (the Water EP and the Bijou EP, respectively).
