Enrico Sangiuliano, who debuted his debut label and event initiative earlier this year with the top-charting “Silence” EP, is offering the underground scene a collection of conceptual studies that challenge us to reconsider how we consume music. The sound designer today reveals his second opus in NINETOZERO’s brief life, continuing the imprint’s countdown of releases. The 2-track “Sound Of Space” EP is available to pre-order now and will be live across all streaming platforms on September 30th.
Enrico Sangiuliano Sound Of Space
After a tremendously successful debut, Sangiuliano’s upcoming “Sound Of Space” EP swiftly spread around the festival scene, and the title track quickly rose to the top of the list of summer’s most anticipated Track IDs. Sangiuliano’s second chapter investigates the influence of place and our physical surroundings on our sense of music, continuing the label’s strong undercurrent of evanescence. We constantly engage with the concept of space in music, whether we are aware of it or not. It plays a crucial role in how we perceive things by adapting the musical expression to the listener’s surroundings and serving as an interactive field. Before the development of recording equipment & technology, music’s environmental characteristics were defined by the space in which it was performed, and as such, Enrico’s latest offering aims to revive this practice in music. The 2-tracker will also be available in spatial audio, providing listeners with a 360-degree penetration of sound, to fully permeate the senses and physically demonstrate this notion.
Enrico is extending NINETOZERO’s fleeting message to a number of related all-night events in connection with the project, giving audiences the 90s club culture philosophy through which to experience his immersive songs. Correlative to his forthcoming “Sound Of Space” EP, the Emilia-native’s next SOLO event will take place at the iconic Kompass Klub in Ghent, Belgium on October 1st.
