Superplastic has worked with Post Malone, an 8-time diamond-certified GRAMMY® Award nominee, to make the first premium vinyl figure of him. There are many references to Malone’s fan-favorite music videos in The Legend of Malone, which brings the eclectic music and fashion star to life with great care. The 12-inch vinyl figure comes out on February 20 at 2 p.m. ET and costs $170.

The Legend of Malone shows the experimental artist from head to toe. It includes Post Malone’s unique face tattoos, his always-present gold chain, and his big, sly grin. Malone’s love of sharp tailoring, the color pink, and surprising red carpet looks led to each figure arriving in a pink leisure suit, white loafers, and socks with stars on them. The Legend of Malone can change heads to become an eagle, which is his self-proclaimed favorite animal. Five percent of lucky fans will also get a unique, fully gold eagle head with their purchase.

The items that come with the set are the most unique part. They were inspired by Post Malone’s many award-winning songs and music videos. The sword accessory comes straight from his viral music video “Rockstar,” where he uses the blade. The sunflower bouquet makes a reference to “Sunflower,” a confusing love song from Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. On “Congratulations,” Malone smokes and thinks about how he got to the top of the charts. A lit cigarette comes from that song. One of the accessories is a movable bronze armored arm that was inspired by Malone’s “Circles” music video, which has a medieval theme.

Post Malone is one of the biggest stars of our generation and an absolute legend in every way. The Legend of Malone is incredibly special. A lot of love went into the design of this art toy. It has interchangeable body parts and even hidden surprises sprinkled in select boxes. It’s insanely awesome and we’re stoked to bring it to life! – Superplastic’s Chief Development Officer Ioana Banu

Post Malone has built a huge fan base and received high praise from both critics and fans for his ability to combine parts of hip-hop, pop, rock, R&B, and even country music. That’s how successful Malone became this year: he got the most RIAA diamond-certified singles of any act and the most platinum-certified single of all time for “Sunflower (with Swae Lee).” For his fifth studio album, “Austin,” Malone is going on a world tour. The artist has taken another step outside of his comfort zone with this record, which is his most obviously “pop” work to date.

Looking back at my music from the last decade to create the looks and accessories for The Legend of Malone was a trip. Superplastic was the perfect partner for me to co-create this figure, and I couldn’t be more excited with the outcome. – Post Malone

Superplastic has worked successfully with famous acts like The Weeknd and Gorillaz before, and The Legend of Malone is the next one. To celebrate Kiss Land’s 10th anniversary, Superplastic released a limited edition collection with the same name. The designs were based on The Weeknd‘s Super Fantastic Red Panda Cat and Superplastic’s Synthetic Celebrity Janky. Superplastic has also worked with the experimental virtual band Gorillaz for a long time. They first worked together to release the Gorillas’ first vinyl figure in 10 years, a 12-inch figure of singer 2D. Since then, they’ve put out blind boxes with miniatures of the band’s four members.
