The day music fans have been waiting for is finally here – Coachella has dropped the highly anticipated set times for the first weekend of the 2024 festival!

If you’re headed to the Empire Polo Club grounds in Indio over the next few days, you’ll want to study these schedules closely to map out your ideal weekend. As always, there are some brutal set conflicts to grapple with across the various outdoor stages and tents.

Let’s break down some of the biggest highlights and challenges:

Friday, April 12th

The opening night kicks off with rising Mexican star Peso Pluma hitting the main Coachella stage at 9:05 pm, leading into the weekend’s first headliner Lana Del Rey at 11:20 pm. But you’ll have to choose between several can’t-miss acts in the preceding hours, including French indie dance icons Justice, British alt-rockers Deftones, and Australian singer-songwriter Faye Webster (whose sets all partially overlap).

Saturday, April 13th

The weekend’s biggest surprise was the last-minute addition of Vampire Weekend to the lineup. They’ll play the Outdoor Theatre at 5:00 pm, while legendary ska/rock band No Doubt reunites on the main stage at 9:25 pm before headliner Tyler, The Creator closes out the night. Schedule conflicts abound in the evening with Grimes vs. Bleachers vs. Oneohtrix Point Never vs. Ice Spice among the most difficult choices.

Sunday, April 14th

The final day is headlined by Doja Cat at 10:25 pm, following a stacked lineup including J Balvin, Jhene Aiko, Khruangbin, and Taking Back Sunday earlier in the day. Underground indie bands Feeble Little Horse and Mandy, Indiana offer a welcome palate cleanser between bigger acts. Lil Yachty and DJ Snake also have unfortunately overlapping set times.

No matter which acts you prioritize, agonizing choices will have to be made. Arguably the biggest struggle is choosing between new and emerging artists getting their big break on smaller stages versus established festival veterans.

Those tough decisions are all part of the classic Coachella experience! For those stuck at home, YouTube will be livestreaming select performances across multiple channels all weekend long.
