Up and coming talent, 44 Ardent reveals nostalgic single ‘hold the world in your hands’ via Mammal Sounds Records.

Throughout the year 2022, Australian producer 44 Ardent was very kind in providing us with a collection of new singles. This eventually led to the release of his debut seven-track extended play (ep) titled “intothedeep,” which received a lot of praise and attention from music fans and curators all over the world.

Fortunately for us, 44 Ardent is not exhibiting any signals that they will be slowing down in the near future. Recently, he provided us with a new upbeat and carefree tune that goes by the name “far gone.” Along with the record, he also made the assurance that we will be receiving a great deal more music in the near future.

This week, he is delivering on that promise by releasing another highly hypnotic treat called “hold the world in your hands.” In it, he explores a range of sound design approaches while simultaneously conveying a compelling message that we, as stewards of this planet, need to do better.

Humans hold the world in our hands, metaphorically speaking. We are the caretakers of the planet, however, at times, we don’t really do a very good job and that often makes me feel quite overwhelmed.

Despite the feeling that individual actions might not make a difference, there is immense power in taking personal responsibility. Crafting a meaning in an electronic song can be challenging, but I’d like to think that the chaotic energy of this song captures that essence.

This record features three distinct sections, each designed to be surprising, especially the second drop, which hopefully feels like it appears out of nowhere. There is plenty of fun sound design in there as well, highly recommend listening with headphones! I spent way too much time on some of the effects, so I hope you enjoy them. – 44 Ardent
