Emerging Scottish Artist/DJ KC Lights Releases Uplifting Festival Piano Mix of 2021 Hit “Hold On” via Solardo’s SOLA Imprint
KC Lights is a Scottish DJ and electronic music producer who is gaining popularity all over the world. KC is eager to share an edit that has only been available to him so far. His 2021 smash “Hang On feat. Kye Sones” has an upbeat, euphoric festival piano edit that is currently available via Solardo’s exclusive SOLA imprint. Once more, KC makes use of his many skills in the studio, providing complex melodies that evoke a feeling of joy and nostalgia that would be equally at home in 1995 but works perfectly in 2023. Kye’s vocals float breathlessly on top helping to build toward an epic climax, while having the full complement of KC’s driving piano stabs and a punchy four-on-the-floor groove.
I created this edit shortly after writing the original with vocalist Kye Sones back in 2021. I’ve always been a big fan of spinning my songs in different ways creatively. I had this idea of a 90’s piano riff for the drop and the rest came together pretty quickly.
