Axtone at Tomorrowland 2018: best performances and new music

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]For sure one of the highlights and the most hyped stage at Tomorrowland, Axtone stage has, again, delivered the real madness last weekend. With performances from the light of Tom Staar, Kryder, Will K, Dave Winnel, NEW_ID and of course, the King Axwell, the Freedom stage was literally turned in the best dancefloor of the festival.

Axtone at Tomorrowland 2018. Hear the best performances and all the new music

WILL K & Dave Winnel

We can describe it as an unexpected b2b. We’re used to see Will K sharing the console with Corey James or Dave Winnel with NEW_ID but, this performance was totally new.

The two DJs and producers have delivered an outstanding set and it almost seemed like they had been playing together for a lifetime. The first 40 minutes went away really fast with a perfect mix of records by themselves and a clever mix. the first ID happened at around 44 minutes with a mashup of Green Velvet and Harvard Bass ‘Lazer Beams’. Another one was played almost at the end of the set by Will K.[/vc_column_text][TS_VCSC_Mixcloud url_single=”” light=”true”][vc_single_image image=”9140″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”img_link_large”][TS_VCSC_Soundcloud url=”″ color=”#1e73be”][TS_VCSC_Soundcloud url=”″ color=”#1e73be”][vc_column_text]

MYMU’s man took over the controls delivering another insane set. Devi immediately set the dancefloor on fire with a brand new song edited as an Intro. Again, at minute 3 he dropped another future-jack/bass house ID with a melodic and vocal breakdown. if you think the new music has ended, you’re wrong because at the minute number 10 he dropped an insane old-school groove style record in the typical NEW_ID style.

From that moment he has started to drop his own music like ‘Fly Forever’ with Years or ‘Make Your Mind Up’ together with Axwell.

The last ID was played at the end of the set and it was a funky one that we can assume it will be called ‘Keep On Dance’.[/vc_column_text][TS_VCSC_Mixcloud url_single=”” light=”true”][TS_VCSC_Soundcloud url=”″ color=”#1e73be”][TS_VCSC_Soundcloud url=”″ color=”#1e73be”][TS_VCSC_Soundcloud url=”″ color=”#1e73be”][vc_column_text]

Axtone’s wonderboy, Shapov a massive and energetic DJ-set, packed, of course, of his own production as well as some new music.

He opened with the intro edit of Belong followed by a massive mashup between ‘Everybody’, ‘Show Me’ and ‘Zephyr’. We can find the first ID at the 13th minute which is a NERAK new single coming soon on Axtone. In another mashup, around the 17th Shapov dropped another unreleased that he already played before during the Axtone night in Tokyo and Osaka. This one is rapidly followed by a massive new Shapov music which has the good old ‘Runic’. A true dancefloor killer that we can wait to hear completed. The drop features also epic vibes making this ID one of the best we have heard so far at Tomorrowland.

Another Shapov new ID has been dropped almost at the end of the set. It was played before on his Instagram stories and rumors says it will be called ‘Time’. There are no certain info about that, so we need to wait a little bit more.[/vc_column_text][TS_VCSC_Mixcloud url_single=”” light=”true”][TS_VCSC_Soundcloud url=”” color=”#1e73be”][vc_column_text]

Tom Staar

It’s time of groove Boss’ Tom Staar that opened his performance with an ID he’s playing for a long time now. the second unreleased has been dropped around minute 25th which features a really strong synth and massive groovy vibes rapidly followed by another exclusive.

A more underground and techno-driven tune was the one at the 39th minute, which was also dropped at least other 8 times in the previous months.

With an hour and 15 minutes of DJ set, Tom was able to play a lot of new music as the new collaboration with Mr. Eddie Thoneick during the last 10 minutes of the performance which was rapidly followed by another Tom Staar solo ID which was premiered on Staar Playr number 7.[/vc_column_text][TS_VCSC_Mixcloud url_single=”” light=”true”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Benny Benassi

You know that when the Italian Benny takes over the controls, damages are certain. With almost four IDs the Italian superstar has literally set the dancefloor on fire.

The first one, dropped around the 10th minutes is a mix of bass-house/groovy sound, an orgasm for your hears and it’s rapidly followed by another exclusive that a 1001tracklist user has supposed to be a Da Funk by Daft Punk remix.

The third ID record was dropped at the half of the performance and it was more a techy-underground song. Last but not least during the 53rd minute Benny drops another bass-groove house tune infected by heavy industrial sounds.[/vc_column_text][TS_VCSC_Mixcloud url_single=”” light=”true”][vc_column_text]

We have discussed Axwell’s ID in a special article here. You just need to know that he dropped, once again, Years’ ID ‘Bliss’[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Last but not least we have groove Boss’ Kryder and now Kryteria Records’ owner. He has for sure dropped one of the best set of the weekend.

The performance was really packed by exclusive music; we have almost 7 unreleased records and bootlegs. From the edit of Operation Blade by Public Domain to Fraanklyn & Føle ID that is supposed to come out on SIZE. At the middle of the performance, the Boss has dropped a brand new single by himself.[/vc_column_text][TS_VCSC_Mixcloud url_single=”” light=”true”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
