Oh man, it was a crazy night at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami on Friday. The legendary DJ Tiësto was headlining the main stage and in the middle of throwing down one of his trademark massive sets.

But then, these insane thunderstorms just rolled in and drenched the entire festival grounds. I’m talking absolute downpours. Water was getting all over Tiësto’s DJ equipment in the booth – his CDJs, mixer, everything. At one point his gear just completely stopped working from all the rain.

Despite the total equipment failure, you have to give it to Tiësto, the man is an absolute pro. He tried to wait it out and get things going again once the worst of the storm passed over.

But the rain just would not let up. Ultra actually had to make the call to cancel the rest of day one of the festival because of the nonstop downpour. Can you imagine having to shut down freaking Ultra for a night because of the weather? That’s how intense it was.

The forecast for today, Saturday, looks just as ugly with more thunderstorms expected to roll through Miami.

You have to feel for Tiësto though. He handled the situation like a total champ when his whole setup was getting rained out in front of thousands of people. Kept his cool and did what he could to still try to put on a show.

Mother Nature was not messing around in Miami this weekend. She rained on Tiësto’s parade…literally. But he still raved on!
