Belarus DJ and producer, Nastya Zhukova presents her only 2022 release, Prometheus/Nag Champ.
Kicking off with raw and electronic lines, Nag Champ features minimal percussive rhythm and cinematic harmonies. The long melodic lines are super clean and create a sense of relaxation and hope. The simple beats paired with the romantic theme create a sort of immutable bubble where everything flows slowly and steadily.
Prometheus goes a bit more electronic and techno, with dark percussions and mysteriously plucked strains. Everything is clean yet opaque and shady.
The journey of this track starts from the inspiration that I got in Georgian Prometheus cave. Stalactites hanging from the ceiling of the cave gave me the idea to use sharp and even slightly aggressive sounds and the colored light inside the cave created a dancing vibe – as if I were inside a mysterious club, created by nature. – Nastya Zhukova
