Zyon was one of the first electronic artists to adorn the renowned Eye Q Records and gained rapid worldwide fame for their 1992 single No Fate.

The group was created by dance music veterans Sven Vath, Matthias Hoffmann, and Steffen Britzake (B-Zet). The trance offering quickly established itself as a mainstay within the electronic music world. After Scooter’s rendition of the song in 1997, it became abundantly evident that the record’s influence would be felt for many years to come.

After having been left in a state of relative obscurity for the better part of the last two decades, the song No Fate” has recently been given a second chance at life thanks to a series of modern reworks, which have brought the song’s historic significance to the attention of a new generation of dance music fans.

Adam Beyer’s new remix of No Fate

The revival of No Fate is kicked off with a massive melodic techno remix crafted by Adam Beyer, who is widely regarded as one of the most influential players in the genre. His contribution to this project is no exception to the Swedish musician’s very recognizable sound palette, which is built on enticing synth leads and hard-hitting percussion; in fact, it is a prime example of such sound palette.

Beyer’s remix is a welcomed take on this famous old-school trance piece, and it will undoubtedly enjoy strong circulation across the club and festival circuit during the course of 2023. Beyer’s remix directs the original mix into darker, techno waters, and it is also a welcome addition to the track.

Available now on all streaming platforms and through twelve x twelve as a Digital Vinyl / Music NFT with exclusive material, ownership, and limited access to the community, Adam Beyer‘s remix of “No Fate” is also available.

B-Zet joins the remix game as well

Next to join the release is B-Zet (Stevie B-Zet / Steffen Britzake), who was one of the three musical masterminds behind the original record. He returns more than thirty years later to provide a wholly fresh perspective on his legendary work of art. After taking a break from putting out new music for the better part of six years, the keyboard player and producer have made a triumphant comeback to the release radar with the remix, which is only available as a Digital Vinyl / Music NFT.

We are then given a taste of the brooding melodies and rolling rhythms that the fraternal pair YORK has to offer as the record’s final rebirth.

The residents of Germany provide us with a comprehensive sense of ‘the trip’ through their rework by cutting between colossal trance riffs, all-encompassing percussion, reflective breaks, and grand climax moments. The emotionally charged remix that the pair created is currently available as Digital Vinyl / Music NFT. It will be available on all streaming platforms beginning on July 14.

Why digital vinyl? The artist regains artistic independence rather than being under the authority of an algorithm, and their audience once again have a tangible piece of music’s history in their possession. The artist and the super fans build a better connection and contribute to each other’s development by sharing private content and having restricted access.
