Allow me to introduce myself: I’m Gabry Venus the Flying DJ! Yes it’s true, and it’s revealed in my video teaser for my release on Sosumi Records: I fly! I’m a paraglider pilot, house music producer and DJ; I’m from Rome, I have a wonderful ten years old daughter and that’s all my life in 2 lines! I guess you will appreciate this instead of a “when I was young…” style Bio. If not, you can still go and check my press kit![/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How do you get inspired to produce a new track?” open=”true”]Usually, I get inspirations for my productions from a mix of 2 elements: listening to a lot of music, (both new and very old!), and my everyday life. In part, because those two things coincide, as in my everyday life I MUST listen to a lot of music! And also because while flying with a paraglider you get a lot of inspiration as an artist! I swear, you should really try![/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How’s being both a producer and a radio host?” open=”true”]Well, as I said before, being a producer means to listen to a lot of music, and working in a radio definitely helps. However, working for a radio does not necessarily means listening to the music you would like to. For example, I used to be a speaker for a phone pranks radioshow for years! So I spent most of the time getting people crazy on the phone. Now I mostly do house music radio shows, so I can actually listen a lot more of “my” music. Anyway, breathing the radio atmosphere is something special if you’re planning your career in the music biz.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Talk us about your future plans” open=”true”]I love what I’m doing and I know it’s not easy nowadays to make a living from that. But I’ve always lived of music: working for a Radio Station first, djing, organizing parties and so on. To live with the music you produce is a dream, so… it’s worth to try! Talking about future records, I have something very interesting coming up next! What I can tell you by now is that I’ve just made a remix for one of the band that inspired my musical life (stay tuned and you’ll know!) and I’m working on a follow up on Sosumi after “El Bandolero”.
