Continuing to impress with his melodic techno skills, Marksman release incredible 2-track EP Warp Speed.
We have featured Marksman not so long ago in occasion of the release of his single Stratosphere on ONISM Vol. 4. This 2-track EP came out a week before Stratosphere actually but it’s surely another r great production from the UK-based producer.
Kicking off with the title track, Warp Speed starts with a dark and powerful kick and a mysterious and wide baseline. From the back of the track, slowly, the plucked arpeggio makes its entrance pairing with the melodic synth that plays the main theme. The percussions calm down letting the main monumental melodic motive take control of the track. Like the calm before the storm, the breakdown flows to break down into a hard and dark techno drop packed with energetic kicks and powerful subs.
Warp Speed paints a bewildering sense of emotion during the first half akin to discovering new horizons, strange and uneasy at first but then becoming comfortable with the uncertainty through the breakdown progression and second half. – Marksman
On the B-side, Gizmo completes the EP with its minimal and deep rolling beat. Surely the most “feeling-good” and “good-vibes” inspired track between the two, Gizmo introduces rolling groovy percussions and fast-house oriented plucked melodies. Keeping the euphoric vibes alive, the tune features big and techno-driven kicks on the second drop as well.
The more upbeat of the two tracks, Gizmo provides listeners with a groovy and feel-good journey. – Marksman

Warp Speed EP embarks on a mysterious musical journey, with each track combining funky bassline grooves and drums with mystical synth euphoria of progressive techno. Both written in the Dorian mode, the initial harmonic darkness to the tracks develops into a brighter and somewhat uplifting conclusion, whilst maintaining a sense of exciting exploration.
