Formula 1 Grand Prix Las Vegas lineup for opening ceremony

Andra Day, Bishop Briggs, J Balvin, Journey, Keith Urban, Steve Aoki, Swedish House Mafia, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and will.i.am will all perform at the opening ceremony, as will all 20 F1® drivers.

The FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX has announced the official lineup for the opening ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday, November 15.

The Grand Prix weekend will begin with magnificent performances by nine iconic musical artists devoted to fans, guests, and the Las Vegas community.

All 20 F1 drivers will be in attendance, as will legendary music industry stars such as Andra Day, Bishop Briggs, J Balvin, Journey, Keith Urban, Steve Aoki, Swedish House Mafia, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and will.i.am, as well as Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil.

The opening ceremony will commence at 7:30 p.m. PT and is expected to draw roughly 30,000 people in person, who will watch the performances from the Wynn Grid Club, Paddock Club, Skybox, or Heineken Silver Main Grandstands.

The spectacle will begin with an immersive display commemorating Formula 1’s arrival in Las Vegas, followed by each artist’s performance paying tribute to Las Vegas’ rich heritage in entertainment, and will conclude with team and driver introductions. The ceremony will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and streamed globally on the F1 YouTube site.

The inaugural FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX will be one of the year’s most important athletic events, further cementing Las Vegas’ position as the World’s Sports and Entertainment Capital. Fans of both music and motorsport will gather at the opening ceremony to experience outstanding performances by multi-award-winning singers and Las Vegas classics, all set against the background of the world-famous Las Vegas Strip.

A special event to start off race weekend and commemorate Formula 1’s arrival in Las Vegas

The starting grid will be transformed into an awe-inspiring visual extravaganza for one night only, with dancers and chart-topping artists performing atop seven high-tech mobile LED platforms. A state-of-the-art lighting extravaganza with 1,000 lights and 100 lasers, fireworks, and a customized drone show sponsored by T-Mobile will round out the entertainment.

To create and design the cutting-edge production, the Las Vegas Grand Prix enlisted entertainment visionary Brian Burke of Brian Burke Creative as executive producer and show creator, as well as award-winning architecture firm Stufish Entertainment Architects and Emmy-nominated Lighting and Set Designer Tom Sutherland of DX7 Design.

The creative triumvirate is responsible for 20 years of revolutionary Las Vegas shows, international music tours, and global television events.

The star-studded lineup encompasses multiple music genres and is filled with prestigious awards such as Academy Awards, Golden Globes, GRAMMY Awards, Emmy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and many more.
