Mind Against return on Afterlife with ‘Walking Away’ and ‘Bloom’

Featuring a deeply-affecting vocals, the records centre around uplifting harmonic elements and a resonant drum pattern.

Italian duo, Mind Against, returns on Tale Of Us’ Afterlife with the 2-track EP Walking Away.

After a successful edition of Afterlife in Dubai, debut event in the UAE for the label, Tale Of Us’ imprint presented yesterday its 35th installment. Produced by the Italian duo Mind Against, Walking Away and Bloom mark the return on the label After the success of Days Gone in 2018.

Kicking off with Walking Away, a long-time played ID that has made dance people all around the world, the tune features elements of deep and progressive house, blending together minimal and techno-oriented beats and creating a unique sound hanged into a limbo between lo-fi and underground music. The hypnotic vocal of Port St. Willow does the rest of the job bringing the listener into a new dimension inside his soul. Centered around uplifting harmonic elements and a resonant drum pattern, Walking Away strikes that special balance of light and dark that we’re used from Mind Against.

On the B-side, Bloom hits the darkest string of our emotions, delivering a minimal, deep and mysterious feeling, increased by the soft touch of the main piano melody. A melancholy and downtempo interpretation of Mind Against vision with the percussion restraining and sitting deep below atmospheric pads and piano chords, eventually arriving at a gradual and subtle peak.

Mind Against reach euphoric heights once again, though this time by a patient and reflective path but yet delivering two songs that will hardly go unnoticed.

You can download both records here or buy your physical vinyl copy as well.
