Swedish House Mafia has once again teamed with The Weeknd for a new single, Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength), that will appear on the soundtrack of the next film ‘Avatar: The Way Of Water.’
The record, titled ‘Nothing Is Lost,’ will be released on December 15th. The date chosen precedes the release of filmmaker James Cameron’s sequel to his 2009 picture ‘Avatar which will be available in theatres worldwide. The Weeknd penned the song and enlisted the help of Swedish House Mafia and Grammy-winning composer Simon Franglen, who also composed the film’s score.
The Weeknd sings, “I thought I could keep you from paying for my misdeeds / You give me strength / I would do either / Nothing’s lost, no more suffering,” over Swedish House Mafia’s thunderous, dramatic production.
Swedish House Mafia provided production for The Weeknd’s album “Dawn FM,” which was released earlier this year. Additionally, he revealed Swedish House Mafia’s remix of the song “Sacrifice,” which the Swedish group also co-produced in its original form.
The two artists joined forces in April to take Kanye West’s place as this year’s Coachella festival’s headlining act.
