Worakls announces 2022 orchestral tour and drops new single ‘Hiba’

Worakls is back with a gorgeous new single “Hiba” (which means “gift from the bottom of the heart” in Arabic) out this Friday on his own label, Sonate, to coincide with the announcement of his next Orchestra European tour, slated for this fall.

Sophie Pondjiclis, a lyrical soprano who used to sing at the Opéra de Paris, interprets this ethereal and powerful track perfectly. Worakls unleashes a dark and powerful electro-orchestral production to bring the tension ahead.

Worakls has enlisted Guillaume Caramelle as the song’s visual director, with whom he has previously worked, most notably on the “Nikki” music video. The video was shot on 16mm film, giving the narration a vintage and dreamlike patina. It depicts a shy boy fantasizing about meeting the girl he loves face to face. The music video is audacious in its format, as it is divided into four distinct scenes, each with a different style to go from reality to nightmare, passing through dreams and desires, just like the track. Manon Bouquet is back with four other dancers from her troupe to bring this story to life after demonstrating her talent as a choreographer and dancer for artists such as Madonna and, more recently, Angèle.

Tickets for the tour are now available via the Sonate website.
