Carlita, a Turkish-Italian multi-instrumentalist and emerging music legend, has teamed up with Andhim, a German DJ and production pair, to produce their debut joint two-track EP titled “Life.” This EP will be distributed through DJ Tennis’ Life And Death imprint.

The song ‘Life‘ is an expertly crafted expressive atmosphere that combines Carlita’s diverse range and kaleidoscope aural vision with Andhim’s signature super house sound. The song was produced by Andhim and Carlita. The listeners are transported on an exhilarating voyage through the realm of sound by combining driving percussion with ambient melodies. The album ‘Life’ has, in Carlita’s words, a “ethereal vibe to it for those early morning sunrise moments.”
I’ve always been a huge fan of Andhim ever since I started getting into electronic music when I was much younger. They’ve always inspired me and I have always admired the music that they produce. When I started djing i always played their music in my sets and always wanted to work with them one day. When we decided to finally get in the studio together it was so natural and we really fed off each other’s vibe and managed to create these 2 amazing tracks which I am so happy with. Each of us has our parts which we have weaved into these tracks and I feel they are really unique and I can’t wait for the release. – Carlita
The second track on the album is titled “Nation,” and it creates an upbeat and joyful atmosphere with its pulsating club energy, which builds through winding synths and a bouncing baseline. Andhim describes Nation as “a club-oriented banger with a soulful and subtle core.” Nation exemplifies this description.
Carlita has been always supporting us and our music and after we got to know each other we decided to make some magic together. We love that her taste in music is so diverse and she is open for any direction. That’s also our approach when it comes to creating and playing music. For us there has never been any boundaries in expressing ourselves. With this EP we tried to capture this diversity and put two different moods and energies onto one record. – Andhim
The artists: Carlita and Andhim
Carlita’s musical prowess can be ascribed in part to her multidimensional background, including playing classical cello at the Royal Academy of Music and having Turkish roots. Her musical prowess draws inspiration from a wide variety of musical styles, ranging from rock from the 1990s to Turkish psychedelia. Carlita has remained at the forefront of the high fashion scene, collaborating with world-renowned brands such as Louis Vuitton, Nodaleto, Raisa Vanessa, and Les Benjamins. She frequently hosts her own multi-sensory party during NYFW and other fashion weeks under the name Senza Fine. This helps her bridge the gap between the underground and high fashion worlds.
German pair Andhim began their musical careers as hip-hop turntablists in the 1990s before creating an electronic duet in 2010. They have spent the previous decade paving the way for their energizing, soulful characteristic sound, which they refer to as super house. The live performances that Simon Haehnel and Tobias Muller, the founders of Superfriends Records, are known for being geared toward getting people on the dance floor.
