It’s the ninth release from CircoLoco Records. It’s a happy house track built around a hot Italo sample from FPI Project. It combines a modern low end with a very retro break, nostalgic synth washes, and emotional strings. This track’s energy and emotion are on the same page as Carlita’s sets. She played at Coachella, Burning Man, Circoloco, Space Miami, ADE, and Sónar Festival this year, delivering memorable moments.
‘Cash For Love’ came about from my deep-rooted love of the Italo house/disco sound from the late 80’s and early 90’s. I’ve always had a soft spot for this genre and wanted to make a track that reflects this. – Carlita
The Turkish DJ and producer Carlita pays homage to Italo disco on her new CircoLoco cut
Carlita is from Istanbul and learned to play the piano when she was very young. She then went to the Royal Academy of Music to study cello. Carlita’s production style is influenced by her ability to play many instruments and her deep knowledge of composition. She mixes sounds from many cultures and genres to make her own unique signature.
Carlita’s skills as a DJ curator are also on full show at Senza Fine. The show is a multisensory experience she co-founded with DJ Tennis. It is now in its fourth year as one of the most important parties during New York Fashion Week. She has also worked with big fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Les Benjamins, Nodaleto, and more because she has a great sense of style.
