David GuettaMake It To Heavenis the latest house injected super tune in collaboration with Danish talent Morten.
2019 has been a hell of a year for the French legend David Guetta; with the re-launch of his underground alias, Jack Back and a series of stellar collaboration with Brooks, Nicky Romero, Morten, and more David Guetta has surpassed the 35 M unique listeners per month on Spotify. The French superstar seems to have a special feeling with Danish producer Morten as the two just released another club-house killer.
I feel that with this new sound I can fill a void between something darker, like techno and a more mainstream sound and yet everything manages to keep huge energy that really stretches the audience when I play the track during festivals. It is either one of the pieces I made with Morten that has both the vibrations of a rave but at the same time it is sexy and the vocal part has something that sounds a bit Lana Del Rey. It’s a bit of a journey. It’s cool and I’m very excited about this new release of mine as well as the DJs I’ve played it on. I hadn’t been so excited about dance music for a long time. – David Guetta in an interview for Billboard Dance
Make It To Heaven is a pure club tune, packed of groove and house elements that will make you dance all night long. 1 minute and a half of pure rolling rhythm topped by an incredible main synth that will stick in your head. The track starts to slow down on the breakdown where soft and relaxing melodic lines wrap around the charming Raye vocal. The main melody starts to increase its energy flowing on another powerful second drop.
The duo David Guetta and Morten seem to work so well in the studio that we think we’re going to hear a lot of new tune in the future. The French legend seems to have put on hold to his more “commercial” sound focusing on the house music side of dance music.
We’ve been friends for many years, which is also nice. I’ve been wanting to work with him for a while, but I needed to feel something special, and that’s what’s happening right now. I think what we’re doing doesn’t sound like anyone else. – David Guetta talking about Morten in an interview for Billboard
