Every year, Sziget transforms Budapest’s Buda Island into ‘The Island of Freedom‘ for six days. The festival transforms the venue into a choose-your-own-adventure arena that attracts thousands of people from over 100 nations. Music aficionados may look forward to more than 50 zones honoring music, theatre, cabaret, comedy, art, and other forms of entertainment in 2024.
In 2024, Sziget will welcome back the UK’s sweetheart, Fred Again.., who is known for his boundary-pushing production style that smoothly merges genres and transports his audience to exhilaration, excitement, and nostalgia. With their smooth, soulful voice and aggressive performances, the blazing Sam Smith will captivate audiences globe. Big Mike, also known as Stormzy, will bring more UK flair to the main stage. He is noted for his energetic live appearance and for having the most diverse voice in grime. Martin Garrix, the internationally recognized DJ and producer famed for his EDM songs and stunning sound and lighting show display, joins the exciting roster.
Four Tet, the pioneering electronic maestro, is sure to enchant with his varied sounds. Fontaines D.C., the Dublin-based post-punk juggernauts, promise a raw and riveting live experience highlighting their critically acclaimed legacy. Big Thief, led by Adrianne Lenker’s haunting vocals, creates intimate indie-folk landscapes that intertwine raw emotion with poetic storytelling. Aurora, the ethereal Norwegian pop enchantress, will captivate Sziget’s audiences with her captivating melodies.

Becky Hill, a chart-topping phenomenon, will be joining the star-studded lineup. She will bring her addictive blend of pop and dance classics to the people. L’Impératrice, a Parisian electro-pop sensation, will delight audiences with their dreamy and danceable sounds, while Crystal Fighters, pioneers of electro-folk fusion, will present their lively and inventive tunes strongly based on positive messaging, providing non-stop feel-good sensations.
Honey Dijon, a global electronic music legend, will command the dance floor with her signature combination of house and techno beats, as will Dom Dolla, an Australian DJ, and producer who reigns supreme on the dance floor, delivering addictive house songs. ANOTR, an Amsterdam-based duo whose hypnotic music is characterized by fast rhythms combined with disco, soul, funk, jazz, and other musical influences, has also joined the lineup. Overmono, the Welsh brothers who create an electronic hurricane of sound, will perform at Sziget with Nia Archives, who has been ruling the DnB game. Dance fans will also adore Eris Drew & Octo Octa‘s irresistible creative power, whose sets are a celebration of their love for each other, dance music, and the gay community.
Yard Act, the socially aware and fiercely aggressive post-punk provocateurs, will perform their socially conscious and ferociously energetic melodies. Joesef heralded as one of the UK’s most intriguing new artists, will perform his soulful voice and emotionally charged lyrics. Warhaus, recognized for his deep sound drenched in raw emotion, will provide a totally hypnotic musical experience for the Sziget audience. Chloé Caillet, a Parisian DJ, spins across genres, from deep house to techno, producing immersive and eclectic experiences for her audience, while AMÉMÉ, a Colombian DJ and producer, will ignite the dance floor with his frenetic set.
Nova Twins, a dynamic UK band noted for their explosive combination of punk, rock, and electronic elements, is also on this year’s list. Blondshell, the contagious energy and genre-defying sound of Joost, the Dutch rapper and producer who commands attention with his unusual way of blending clever poetry with irresistible beats. Dagny, the Norwegian pop phenomenon, creates addictive and empowering melodies that highlight her strong vocals and lively energy.
