Dannic’s own imprint, FONK, starts the new year with a banging 4-track ‘The New Year EP’. It contains ‘Modem’, ‘Turnin’’, ‘Alerts’ and ‘Blow’ including artists as Maximals, WYNE and more.
Part of Spinnin’ family, FONK is Dannic‘ imprint since 2016. Now, to celebrates the new year, they have released a 4-track EP named ‘The New Year EP’. It features Siks and Maximals ‘Modem’, Notalike and Alex & Mark ‘Turnin’’, We AM and Window ‘Alerts’ and Wyne and MWRS ‘Blow’.
‘The New Year EP’ by FONK
Kicking off with Siks and Maximals ‘Modem’, this is the debut on FONK for both artists. The record features a melodic vocal loop accompanied by a huge and rough bassline. ‘Modem’ jumps into a rolling and addictive loop where you can hear Maximals’ signature sound, revisited for this release. The track was firstly premiered back on Fonk Radio 118 and then it appeared on Spinnin’ – 2019 Future Hits mix.
The second track of this ‘The New Year EP’ by FONK is ‘Turnin’’. The record is perfectly in line with the fonky style we’re used to hearing from the label. Up-and-down synth and rolling beats make ‘Turnin’’ a perfect club weapon to inflame the dancefloor. The Italian duo Notalike, who has produced the record together with Alex & Mark, is not new to FONK. They’ve released a track on the 2017 Christmas EP too. For Alex & Mark, instead, this is the debut on Dannic’ imprint.
On the third spot, we have ‘Alerts’. Produced by FONK’ veterans We AM in collaboration with wising talent Window, ‘Alerts’ is the perfect tune if you like high-energy electro-house inspired tunes. With its fast motion on the drop and the huge kicks, the record is a true mainstage destroyer.
Last but not least, ‘The New Year EP’ welcomes Wyne and MWRS with ‘Blow’. The tune is a mix of G-house and tribal thanks to the huge baseline and the rolling percussive rhythm. For Wyne ‘Blow’ is the second release on FONK after ‘Poison’ on last year Miami EP.
