Electronic music genius, Porter Robinson has just announced Nurture coming in 2020. The first single extracted from it, Get your Wish will be premiere tomorrow at 8 pm CET, 11 am PST.

6 years have been since Robinson’s album Words, that literally changed the electronic music panorama crowing Porter as one of the most dynamic and innovative producers of the time. A mix of synth-pop and future-bass beats merged together with dubstep elements become his signature sound, still perfectly recognizable despite numerous attempts to copy.

He came back in 2016 with Shelter, a collaboration with his fellow peer Madeon. Another track and another worldwide success: the record now counts more than 125 M streams on Spotify.

Over the following years, Porter Robinson launched his side project, Virtual Self. In 2017 presented his EP under the new alias that signed a come back to the past; fast beats, electronic synths, and retro-game melodies have, once again, showed the incredible dynamicity of the 27-year old prodigy. The launch of Virtual Self alias has brought Porter to tour around the world with his incredible show.

A lover of the Japanese culture, Porter Robinson has always taken inspiration from it into his song and, we think his new Nurture album will be no different. Announced only one hour ago, Porter has announced that will be available during this year; tomorrow, at 8 pm CET, 11 am PST, the first single extracted Get your Wish will be premiered on YouTube.

I put my entire heart into this. – Porter Robinson

Besides the video premiere, now available on his YouTube, Porter Robinson has also uploaded a teaser video. The approach is a bit different from Words, more minimalistic and with a different aesthetic. As happened in the past, Porter has decided to add a sort of enigma in his music/video. Around 0:15 you can see appear on the video “Everything we need is already here:” followed by a Google Maps URL showing the Earth’s poles.

Anyway, the teaser suggests a fresh and new sound design that, in our opinion, will change the game once again.
