Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) has always been the epicenter of electronic music, bringing together the biggest names in the industry to create an unforgettable week of music and dance.

With each passing year, ADE has managed to outdo itself, showcasing remarkable performances and unforgettable parties.

However, this year’s lineup reveals a noticeable absence of some iconic artists and events that have been an integral part of the ADE experience in recent years.

Tale Of Us and Afterlife

For many ADE-goers, the Afterlife show by Tale Of Us held at the Gashouder as part of Awakenings has become an essential part of the experience.

Afterlife’s captivating music, accompanied by stunning visuals, has left an indelible mark on the ADE landscape.

Last year, the Afterlife show reached new heights with a sold-out event at Ziggo Dome and the introduction of a breathtaking floor-to-ceiling LED wall.

However, to the dismay of many, there will be no Tale Of Us or Afterlife party for Amsterdam Dance Event 2023.

The absence can be attributed to Tale Of Us embarking on a kind of North American tour, starting with their first-ever Afterlife show in Los Angeles on October 13th and 14th, followed by a special performance in Austin on October 20th during the F1 weekend.

While their international tour is undoubtedly exciting, it leaves a void in this year’s ADE lineup.

Eric Prydz’s Holographic Spectacle

In 2022, the ADE crowd was treated to a mind-bending experience as Eric Prydz brought his holographic show, HOLO, to the Ziggo Dome.

This groundbreaking performance left fans in awe and set a high bar for ADE’s future editions.

However, the absence of Eric Prydz from the 2023 ADE program leaves us wondering what visual and auditory wonders we might miss out on this year.

David Guetta’s Memorable Moments

David Guetta, the legendary DJ and producer, has graced ADE with his presence in the past. In 2019, he headlined the Amsterdam Music Festival and delivered a special set atop the A’DAM tower under his alias, Jack Back.

In 2022, he once again joined the AMF mainstage, solidifying his status as an ADE favorite.

However, in 2023, his name is conspicuously absent from the lineup, leaving us reminiscing about his unforgettable sets from previous years.

Solid Grooves’ Decade of Grooving

Solid Grooves celebrated a decade of unforgettable parties in Amsterdam during ADE just last year. The energy and vibe they brought to the ADE scene were truly unparalleled.

However, this year, there’s a void where Solid Grooves once stood.

This absence might be related to the health battle of one of its founders and DJ, Michael Bibi, who is currently fighting cancer. Our thoughts and best wishes go out to him.

Axwell and Ingrosso

While Swedish House Mafia might not be regulars at ADE, Axwell and Ingrosso have graced several editions in the past, notably in 2015, 2016, and 2018, before the triumphant return of SHM.

Their performances have always been crowd-pleasers, and their absence this year leaves a notable gap in the ADE lineup.
