Italian duo Tale Of Us and their imprint Afterlife have released a 31-track compilation Unity that will help to fight Coronavirus.
It’s a tough time for the world and humankind but it is in these moments that the best of the human being comes out. Music has guided us through the hardest time to the most joyful moments and, once again, it will follow us during this new challenge. With the aim of helping the tragic situation that Italy, and more precisely the Lombardy Region, is facing during the war against the COVID-19 Coronavirus, Tale Of Us and Afterlife has released a 31-track compilation called Unity. Featuring 31 new songs from artists of the Afterlife’s roster, all the profit from it will be donated to the Coronavirus medical relief fund.
Out of darkness can only come light. Unity is a 31-track opus, a symbol of togetherness curated by Tale Of Us, including artists already on Afterlife and some new names to the label. Accompanied by a continuous journey through this new music, mixed by Tale Of Us, we hope this compilation brings some escape at a challenging time.
Unity contains long-awaited ID by the label bosses as Alone and Together as well as from well-known Afterlife’s artists and label’s newcomer. This is the case of the soft and minimal MT1 by Anii that marks her debut on the label. Bringing back his iconic dreamy signature sound, Colyn makes his apparition on Unity as well with It’s All Over, a track that fills us with hope.
After an 8-track LP Unknown Places, Hunter/Game debut on Afterlife with their long-awaited Dark Aster, played all along the winter season by Tale Of Us. Darker and more hypnotic vibes drive Avidus and Coeus with their respectful releases opening the doors for the return on Denis Horvat on the label. Perpetual includes metallic and raw elements in the perfect underground Berlin club style. Unity includes Fideles with their “biblical” sound and angelic vocal as well as mysterious new talent Anyma with debut single A True Connection.
Tale Of Us cover the full spectrum of Afterlife sounds, from stirring, sunrise epics and eyes-down techno to more inward-looking moments, individually expressing a collective vision. Crystalline melodies and emotive oscillations connect each work and form the strands which Tale Of Us weave into a momentous Voyage. From the opening tones of the label founders’ own track Alone, every turn flows further into the Realm Of Consciousness, an unbounded dimension which ends in light.
