Weeks full of music with Eden Prince, Lost Prince and Chambray on Axtone

Welcoming back old friends and saying hello to new artists, Axtone has a month packed of incredible music with two new EPs and a single

House music at its best with Axtone releasing Eden Prince Memories EP, Lost Prince NVR EP, and Chambray‘s new single LOVING U.

If it wasn’t for Axwell’s Axtone imprint, we would have lost every link to the Swedish House Mafia but, with the label continuing to release high-quality tunes month after month, hope isn’t gone yet. In the last two weeks, Axtone has welcomed back Lost Prince with his 3-track EP NVR.

Having debuted some months ago with his 2-record EP AlkaLost Prince is a new project of Paris & Simo former member Paris. The EP gives further insight into the overall sound of the artist and introducing new elements to the project. NVR (download) seems to be the other side of Alka EP: such as yin and yang, NVR completes Alka with more catchy and euphoric vibes. From the melodic and dark techno elements to housy and summer-ready beats, NVR kicks off with the title track, a chill and relaxing tune, a crossover between house music sounds, and tropical and deep elements. It perfectly links with You, a magnific summer-ready anthem built around piano-house vibes and a dreamy vocal. Vento follows more or less the same path of the previous two tunes but with a more techy imprint; the electronic-synth driven top melody perfectly flows through the track making Vento probably our favorite tune out the three.

From a 3-track EP to another one, Eden Prince debuts on Axtone with Memories EP (download). This EP showcases both his musical influences and studio dexterity across the house music spectrum. You may remember Mr. Prince because his stunning remix of Music Sounds Better With You. Memories has been released as a collection of the three singles, Memories, Lift Your Energy and Let It GoKicking off with the title track, the record features a hypnotic and bass-driven theme where narcotic hip-hop inspired vocal keeps the tempo. A rolling percussive ryhtyhm completes the tune making Memories an incredible club hit. Lift Your Energy is surely the most “commercial” tune of the EP with Eden Prince’s classic piano house signature sound. Another incredible classic house vocal fuse itself into the record, making Lift Your Energy an incredible fit while watching the sunset at, let’s say, Mambo Ibiza. Last but not least, Let It Go injects some pure acid-bubbling elements to the EP creating very cool variations thought the three tracks.

Memories was a long time in the making. I was going through some old ideas and found one from 2016 called ‘check out this baseline’. I opened it up and the project was nothing but a simple bass melody. I built it up and added some drums, then combined it with a vocal I had found in another old demo. I then played it to a singer called Nonô who liked it and I recorded her in the studio there and then. She killed it and what you hear now is the result! – Eden Prince

This Friday Axtone has welcomed another new artist on his roster. All the way from Berlin, Chambray has been well known in the house music scene thanks also to his almost 3 million streams hit on Spotify Feelin’ Good. Defined as “a contender for Summer 2020’s most uplifting house record,” LOVING U (download) is definitely a tune to keep an eye in the upcoming month. The well-defined beat and sub are the first two things you will fall in love with the record. The vocal loop introduces to one of the freshest drops we’ve heard in a while once it comes to house music. An uplifting progressive house synth perfectly backed up by a wide, clean, and super effective baseline. Recognizable since the first couple of bars, Chambray LOVING U is a must-have on your Spotify playlist.

We’ve been massive fans of Chambray for years so when the demo for ‘LOVING U dropped into our inboxes we knew we were in for a treat. Probably the fastest we’ve signed a track in some time! – Axtone’s Edd Thomas
