Netherlands based imprint ARTWRK releases two house music gems in the span of a week; Husko debuts on the label with Release Yourself meanwhile Stephan Duy returns with I Feel.
Surely a big week the last one for the Dutch label that has released not one but two incredible records.
Inspired by the idea of creating a track around a big yet short vocal that would go down well in my kinds of sets, Release Yourself could work perfectly from darkroom sets all the way to the festivals’ mainstage. Thanks to its catchy and hypnotic electrified top synth and a very pleasant but minimal beat, the track is a real treasure. Release Yourself isn’t the only track released as, he dropped a 2-tracker EP. With raw instrumental rhythm and hard percussions, Street Style perfectly describes the signature sound of the street. With its kind-of urban vocal perfectly matched with a rough beat, this second tune is another incredible production by the man.
All the way from the beautiful island of Malta, Husko in less than a year has signed tracks to labels such as Toolroom Records, Glasgow Underground, and CUFF whilst having DJ’s such as Denis Sulta, Amine Edge and DANCE and even the legendary Annie Mac play out his music.
On the other side of house music, with happier and funkier sounds we find Stephan Duy and his I Feel. These hard times need some feel-good and sunshine vibes and this track is the perfect combination of summer rhythm and club beats. The vocal reinforces those vibes with the meaning of the lyrics. We’re all connected.
