Nicky Romero drops three singles in the span of a month
Protocol continues its unstoppable release schedule with Nicky Romero's ‘Stay’ in both Original and Festival Mix and ‘Falling’
Protocol Boss Nicky Romero unveiled three brand new tunes including his brand new single Stayand collaboration with Timmy Trumpet Falling.
Released back at the beginning of February, Stayreveals the softer side of Nicky Romero with pop and radio-driven vibes. Romero trades in driving basslines and big-room synths for gently undulating instrumentals and a gently progressive drop in the new track. The perfect tune to climb the radio charts as the record has already 1.5 M streams on Spotify. The Protocol label head pairs the dreamy melodies with emotive vocals, producing lines that evoke the nostalgia of youthful romance.
This first version of Stay, with soothing and dreaming vibes, wasn’t the perfect tune for a festival; this is why Niky Romero decided to inject some of his unique progressive house signature sounds into a track that is already making serious damage worldwide. He moved from the original’s gentle instrumentals to big room basslines and energetic melodies. The track’s dreamy vocals still give Stay an emotive appeal, while the mix’s upbeat vibes get it dressed and ready for the dance floor.
If you aren’t happy with such two masterpieces, Nicky Romero has also released his brand new collaboration with Timmy Trumpet, Falling. Delivering all the elements of a tried and tested club anthem, the track opens with enthusiastic melodies and soaring vocals. Falling kicks into high gear at a heart-pounding 138 beats per minute during its crescendo to drop into an energetic and catchy vocal. Romero and Trumpet have already tested it out in their live sets, including during their b2b during ADE 2019 and at Echostage in Washington, DC, to rave reactions. This is a track for fans craving a classic party starter as well as new listeners waiting for an introduction to real club life.
Both three records are out now via Nicky Romero’s Protocol and you can check them below.
