A creative studio has designed a suit to safely socialize during the pandemic
What if we can go back to rave sooner than we think thanks to special cloths that keep us safe from the virus?
With the COVID-19 spreading all around the world and the pandemic continues to claim victims, the whole events and club scene have shut its doors. With the impossibility to keep a safe social distance, the chances to come back to rave as normal in a short time are very low but, what if someone has invented a possible solution? This is the case of the Los Angeles based creative studio Production Club; they’ve designed a futuristic suit that will protect people from the virus but still being able to socialize.
Everyone already knows that the new COVID-19 virus is very contagious and, the only way to prevent an exponential spreading is to drastically reduce social contacts; this means the impossibility to organize large gatherings or be in a nightclub dancing together. According to the Production Club, we should still be able to hang out thanks to their new project.
The Micrashell suit by Production Club
It’s called Micrashell and, as the concept arts suggest, it’s a futuristic suit with integrated PPE that will keep you safe from the virus.
Micrashell was born as a socially responsible solution to safely allow people to interact in close proximity. Specifically designed to satisfy the needs of nightlife, live events, and entertainment industries, Micrashell is a virus-shielded, easy to control, fun to wear, disinfectable, fast to deploy personal protective equipment (PPE) that allows socializing without distancing.
Starting from the top, the suit features “Air-tight top suit + hybrid soft+hard helmet made of tactical, high-performance cut resistant fabric and developed for durability, endurance and easy disinfecting procedures.” The helmet includes a series of air filters that clean the air coming in as well as the one that will be expelled from the back of the helmet. The system will need two lithium-ion cell batteries to work.
The helmet includes speakers as well as supply nozzles that are attached to the main supply unit on the front. It will allow you to attach canisters that will allow you to drink without removing the helmet.
The suit will be managed via a smartphone app and, talking about the smartphone, you’ll be able to insert into a transparent pocket on the left sleeve of the suit.
