French DJ and producer Massane debuts on Lane 8‘s This Never Happened imprint with 4-track EP Visage 1 (No Return).
If you’re into deep, chill and relaxing electronic music you surely know Lane 8. The legendary DJ and producer has always pushed the boundaries of this music genre; an example is his own imprint This Never Happened that has constantly released high-quality tracks over the years. Now, because of the lockdown for the COVID-19, Lane 8 has also launched a series of home DJ sessions on his Twitch. It’s during one of these live streams that Lane 8 presented Massane’s new 4-track EP Visage 1 (No Return).
The release is part of a 3-part EP that will drop on This Never Happened. As the producer told us, Massane is developing a broken and melodic sound with this EP. You can expect cinematic, melodic, and deep vibes from the 4 records.
Visage 1 (No Return) in-depth
Kicking off with Leaf, the EP starts slow, with an intimate beat and hypnotic melodic lines that jump into an eternal breakdown built around a magical arpeggio. Up next, the EP title track No Return is a special tune, filled with dreaming melodic lines and a minimal beat. A record that will definitely let you travel with your mind and your soul. Starting from Falling Apart, the EP increases a bit the energy with catchy and rolling rhythm; this 3rd record of the EP includes a soothing and deep vocal that flows into mystic second drop. Last but not least, Twisted is built around an incredible arpeggio that flutters around the spiritual cinematic lines.
