Avicii‘s new album TIM is set to the release on the 6th of June. In a campaign to connect the world through Avicii music, the Cube will be launched the 1st and 2nd of June in 6 cities around the world.
TIM is the first album of new music from Bergling since his unexpected death last year. Even if most of the tracks of the album were almost completed, they needed the final touch. Tim Bergling left very clear notes about how he wanted to finish the music. People who worked with Tim on the album came together to finish Avicii’s work and finally deliver TIM album. You’ll find them in the credits at the very end of the article.
Over the past weeks, two of TIM’S single have been released. Stories of how Avicii’s music has touched people around the world are endless. It has become important to Avicii’s team to release this new music with a focus on connection. This is why the AVICII Cube campaign was born.
AVICII Cube around the world
AVICII Cubes will be situated in each of six cities around the globe. When you put your hand on the illuminated screen, the Cube is activated and searches for another active Cube somewhere in the world. When that connection is made, both of you will listen to the same clip from the album. You’ll be sharing that listening experience with someone half-way around the world, connected forever by Avicii’s music. In a hectic world, we want people to take a quick break from their busy days for a powerful moment of music and connection.
There are cube installations in six cities around the world; Sydney, Tokyo, Stockholm, London, New York City and Sao Paulo. Smaller cubes are also active during the weekend in Oslo, Paris, Berlin, Salzburg, Bucharest, Brussels, Zürich, Taipei, Auckland and Toronto.
