CamelPhat announce new album ‘Spiritual Milk’

CAMELPHAT TO RELEASE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ALBUM ‘SPIRITUAL MILK’ VIA THEIR OWN LABEL ‘WHEN STARS ALIGN’

CAMELPHAT made the announcement today that their fresh new album, titled “Spiritual Milk,” will be released on September 15th under their own label, When Stars Align.

Following the release of their album titled “Dark Matter” in 2020, the duo returns with an album titled “Spiritual Milk,” which explores the progression of their innovative musical style. A declaration that defines how far they’ve gone and how they want to continue to capture more territory.

The album is about rejoicing in life and not taking anything for granted, despite the artist having recently been released from seclusion, having returned to the club scene, and being free to travel the world.

Pre-save of the album is live now.

Spiritual Milk, CAMELPHAT’s new album

It is an album that highlights the skyrocketing trajectory of the duo over the last few years, who are gracing the finest dance floors and festival fields the world over. From the steady-building intro of latest single ‘Hope‘ featuring Max Milner to the sway of ‘Rennen,’ a collaboration with SOHN; the swirling menace of ‘The Sign‘ featuring Anyma; euphoric ‘Embers‘ featuring Shimza and Julia Church. They have worked very hard, and when combined with their natural knack for making floor fillers that are both smooth and effortlessly contagious, they have further cemented their position as one of the most respectable and multi-faceted electronic artists now active in the game. Key tunes on the record, such as the rumbling ‘Colossus‘ with Kolsch, the hypnotic duet ‘Many Times‘ with Mathame and Frnn, the soaring ‘Higher‘ with London Grammar, and the guitar-infused album closer ‘Love Is Something‘ featuring Jake Bugg, all illustrate their unquenchable synergy with various forms of music.

Spiritual Milk is our brand new second Album. It’s another journey through various styles of sound.

We’ve felt a lot less pressure delivering this record possibly due to the fact it’s on our label (WSA) but also we’re at a point in our career where we can possibly afford to be more expressive and less fearful about what other people think. It has definitely come from the heart and feels honest both as writers and musicians. We’ve had fun with it, we’ve made music less with the dance floor in mind and more with our emotions. The whole thing came together surprisingly very easily.

Spiritual milk is a listening album, taking your mind away from everyday life. The name itself has captured the overall essence of the album perfectly.  Take the trip & enjoy the ride…  🍄 – Camelphat

The album artwork

CAMELPHAT sought to explore the idea of ‘electronic trip’ and modern psychedelic’ artwork for the album artwork, and they stumbled onto Niko Christian’s (aka c-nik) strange drawings. Niko is a multidisciplinary artist living in the United States who is working to build serenity from chaos in fantastical arcs of light, life, and time. Additionally, he is creating the concept that one can touch heaven from wherever in the world.

There is no other place where the love and affection that CAMELPHAT have for what they do can be seen more clearly than at their Tuesday night residency at Pacha.
