One of Italy’s hottest musical exports, Mattei & Omich, return to Defected for their latest release ‘Doors’, following their huge label debut ‘I’ll House U’ earlier in 2019. Former hosts at the leading Italian dance music radio m2o, Patrizio and Danny have been working hard for years before reaching international recognition thanks to their brilliant House productions and sets; a journey that has been crowned with the previously mentioned debut single on Defected.
Showing a different side to the Roman duo’s sound, the release moves away from the heavier and more club focussed style of their previous Defected cut to something more blissful and emotive. With vocals provided by Tennessee native and The Boxer Rebellion frontman Nathan Nicholson, a regular collaborator of artists like Claptone, the soft keys and atmospheric instrumentals on this record give it that summer-ready sound, prepped for dancefloors this season and beyond.
