Leading dance music tracklists portal, 1001Tracklists just revealed the annual Top 101 Producers. This year, in 2021, the number one spot has been taken by Vintage Culture, followed by David Guetta and Kryder. What about Swedish House Mafia tho?
What’s the 1001Tracklists’ Top 101 Producers?
The 1001Tracklists Top 101 Producers is an annual ranking brought to you by the world’s leading tracklist portal. Thanks to its extensive data collected over the year, 1001Tracklists is able to know what records and by which artists have been played the most. Unlike the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs, which is based on a poll where anyone can express their personal preference, the 1001Tracklists Top 101 Producers is based on actual data: if an artist’s track got played by a DJ during a set or a podcast/radio show, it got a point. The points are the unique DJ support. You may argue that having a track played on the closing at Ultra Miami or Tomorrowland is not the same as having the same track played by an upcoming DJ’s podcast; yes, but every system has its problems. Maybe, in the near future, 1001Tracklists will introduce a weight to rank the various supports but, that’s another topic.
