Charlotte de Witte wins the techno DJ Mag Awards

The Belgian powerhouse took over Amsterdam during ADE with a KNTXT x Filling Pieces pop up store and sold out Ziggo Dome show

The queen of Belgian techno, Charlotte de Witte, is the talk of Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) when her label KNTXT commandeered the Ziggo Dome venue for a stunning showcase, earning her the top spot for Techno in the DJ Mag Awards.

Charlotte de Witte claimed the top rank for Techno at the DJ Mag Honors for the third consecutive year, solidifying her position as one of the most gifted musicians in the world. She also received the highest slot for Techno in the DJ Mag Top 100 awards. She also moves up nine points this year, landing at position #14 in the overall vote.

The well-known DJ will soon go to South America for KNTXT showcases in Buenos Aires and So Paulo. On February 4, 2023, she will perform at Flanders Expo in her native Belgium.

At the record-breaking 20 000-person capacity audience for the 2022 KNTXT Ghent event at the Flanders Expo, Charlotte de Witte performed a colossal 10-hour all-night show. KNTXT will return to this legendary location on February 4th, 2023, to introduce their brand-new idea, KNTXT konnected. Back-to-back DJ sets by Charlotte de Witte and other artists will be played throughout the evening.

Fresh off a successful ADE, Charlotte de Witte and her renowned label KNTXT took over the storied Ziggo Dome with Awakenings on the Friday of ADE. The nine-hour party featured sets by Enrico Sangiuliano, FJAAK, I Hate Models, Indira Paganotto, and ONYVAA, and was capped off by a memorable headlining appearance from de Witte. Additionally, she collaborated with the founder of the fashion label Filling Pieces, Guillaume Philibert, to design an exclusive collection that was unveiled at the company’s flagship Amsterdam store during ADE. It comes after her most recent EP, “Apollo,” a frank mix of party songs issued on her own label.

Charlotte de Witte is well recognized for her dark, raw style of acid, techno, and anything else with a lot of energy. Although she frequently crosses borders, she still has a great deal of respect for the underground. Highlight appearances on all continents, including being the first female and techno DJ to headline Tomorrowland’s mainstage, Mixmag and DJ Mag covers, and prominent places in charts and lists attest to her popularity as the new king or queen of techno.
