The compilation titled Rose Avenue Compilation Vol. 1 was released by RÜFÜS DU SOL‘s Rose Avenue Records.
It includes music by artists who are familiar with the label, such as Modern Tales, Luke Alessi, Colyn, and Township Rebellion, as well as newcomers such as Enamour, Julya Karma, Bigfett, Arodes, HWIN, and Sainte Vie.
Rose Avenue Compilation Vol. 1
Vol. 1 is a polished compilation of originals that caters to appealing sonic palettes, experimental structures, and refined production. This collection showcases the breadth of talent that RÜFÜS DU SOL has inspired during the course of their career.
The wistful single “Coming Back 4 You” by brother duo Modern Tales, taken from their recently released debut album Stars Align, is the first track to be featured on the anthology.
The compilation throws a light on the emotive dance sounds that have been present throughout Rose Avenue’s curation by moving through the iridescent house tones of Arodes &’s ‘Signs of Light‘ and the seductive builds of Luke Alessi‘s ‘Aqua Stars‘. Both of these tracks are included. Vol. 1 is a tribute to the unique craftsmanship that can be found across Rose Avenue’s library, from the captivating melodies of Colyn‘s ‘Day 8‘ to the enticing techno backdrop of the collaboration ‘Fantasia on a Theme‘ by Township Rebellion, Victor Pilava, and Roemisch.
The collection helps to promote the label’s newest signees, such as HWIN, formerly one-half of Cathedrals, who has premiered his new melodic techno project with ‘Metropolis Heights.’ This demonstrates the label’s commitment to continuing its legacy of providing a welcoming home to fresh talent.
The compilation soars over the dynamic rhythms of Enamour‘s “Body Test” and Bigfett’s synth-heavy offering “Continuum,” both of which flaunt the tempting sounds that reflect the label’s upcoming releases. Both tracks can be found on the compilation. Other newbies to Rose Avenue include Julya Karma, a dark-tech riser from Brooklyn, with her track “Hypnotized,” and Sainte Vie, a beatsmith born and raised in Mexico City with his track “Raindrops.”

Rose Avenue Records was established in 2018 with the intention of fostering innovation and housing talent that shares similar values.
Rose Avenue got its name from the house in Venice, California, where the three founders of the label wrote their album SOLACE, which was nominated for a Grammy.
Since then, the label has become home to groups such as Anyma, Cassian, Lastlings, and Paraleven, amongst others. Since the label’s start, Rose Avenue has amassed a discography consisting of over fifty breathtaking originals and remixes and has earned a reputation as one of electronic music’s most beloved tastemakers.
The artist-run record label makes its first appearance with this compilation of ten tracks.
