Axwell’s imprint Axtone has showcased two brand new release last week. The label has welcomed back Dutch duo Chocolate Puma and Chinese talent CARTA with ‘Zhong.’ The record is not the only dropped last week. Jack Wins came back with a new rework of his tune ‘Forever Young’ together with Dave Winnel.
Chocolate Puma & CARTA ‘Zhong’
‘Zhong’ is the brand new release by Chocolate Puma & CARTA. This is the debut single for both the artists. Chocolate Puma already released on Axtone but it was a remix of ‘Arms Around Me’ by Hard Rock Sofa. The original title “重 (Zhong)” is roughly translated as “is there anyone out there who’s into heavy bass” and judging by the reactions on dancefloors, the track has been uniting kindred spirits across the globe who are indeed, into heavy bass. Filled with groovy vibes and rolling percussions, the main pillar of the record is for sure the heavy bassline driven by a top-notch housy and funky melody.
‘Zhong’ has not gone unnoticed. Premiered by Axwell on BBC Radio 1 during Annie Mac Friday Night, ‘Zhong’ receives a massive play by Alesso on Ultra Miami mainstage. This weekend, the record has been played again by Alesso during EDC Las Vegas as well as CARTA who dropped it at kineticFIELD.

Dave Winnel & Jack Wins Club Mix of ‘Forever Young’
The original, produced by Jack Wins himself and sing by Amy Grace, has picked up support from BBC Radio 1 and across DSPs. Revisited together with Axtone’s veteran Dave Winnel, ‘Forever Young’ now features a more club-oriented core. With amazing use of the percussions, filled with the huge bassline and Amy Grace’s vocal used as a melody, this remix is the perfect tune to set the club’s dancefloor on fire.
Played more than 50 times on 1001traklists only, the remix was firstly premiered by Dave Winnel on Tomorrowland One World Radio.
