Steve Angello’s wonderboy is back on SIZE with a banging new club tune. ‘Artifact From 83’ by Corey James came out last Friday, in collaboration with Santez.
Prepare to hear nothing but the freshest and unique vibes from this crazy tune. ‘Artifact From 83’ features mid-tempo / electro beats with a huge and heavy bassline, euphoric kicks with a pre-drop vocal loop that will make you go crazy. Bringing a great dose of dark and deep elements, the drop kicks off with hard-hitting synths and drums. With an insane rock-ready guitar riff and hip-hop inspired vocal, the breakdown increases its energy with snarling snare-driven build until the incredible second drop.
‘Artifact From 83’ is the second release for Corey James in 2019. It follows up the amazing ‘DNA’, released some months ago. Corey James and Santez aren’t new to a collaboration; back in 2017, the two released ‘With You’ that now counts almost 200k plays.
In a time where everybody is sticking to 125/128 BPM and sounding similar, Santez and I wanted to try something completely different, outside of the box! I love ‘Artifact From 83’, it’s one of my personal favorites. When we were making it we had a lot of fun chopping old school rap vocals and combining them with some hard synths and big drums! – Corey James.
We can’t agree more to Corey James’ words. ‘Artifact From 83’ is for sure one of the freshest and unique records released this year; in an industry packed with the same sounds and song structure, where a lot of releases sound the same, Corey James and Santez ‘Artifact From 83’ is a breath of fresh air.
